Hey, i just ordered these asiahorse cable extensions to use with my corsair rm750e fully modular psu. i know you shouldn’t plug the extension cables directly into the psu and they should only be used to extend the cables that came with your psu, however i’m still a bit concerned about the safety and reliability of extensions. is it worth spending the extra $20 for the cablemod extensions.

The cablemod extensions you linked are the basic series. you can see gaps in between each individual cable and they are pretty flimsy. they may not hold their shape in your pc. i'm assuming aesthetics are important, otherwise you'd just use the cables supplied by your psu. check out the pro series from cablemod. Cablemod e series 12vhpwr modmesh vs stealthsense hi i just got my 12vhpwr cable for my evga psu but i found out that it is an older version and the stealth sense seems to be a newer version without the two very thin wires on the old. i was wondering if this cable is still fine to use or if i should be getting the stealthsense. Cablemod's compatibility list recommends variant a for the msi gaming x trio 4080. however, it looks like what i really need is variant b with the connecting clip at the bottom and the sense pins on top (see attached image). my gpu is mounted horiztontally with the fans facing down. any advice? i just want to make sure i'm ordering the correct 12vhpwr 90 degree angled adapter variant. So the only way cablemod's could be better than corsair's is if they were sourcing a better connector from somewhere than the standard amphenol one, or if corsair was sourcing a worse connector from somewhere. otherwise, they should be the same, fancy sleeving aside.
