Bug In Rating Mechanism Admin Codechef Discuss Facing problem with my codechef starters tests and rating issues & having queries. hey guys! i'm currently in 1st year of cse. i started the whole codechef journey 6 months ago, with intense hardwork, consistency & dedication. i reached 1400 rating & got 2 stars. All codechef contests (long challenges, cook offs, lunchtimes and starters) will now have four parallel contests, one for division 1, one for division 2, one for division 3 and another for division 4. though a contest could be rated only for some divisions. you can learn more about this system here. If you are too concerned with ratings then go to codeforces and start improving your ratings there. colors don’t change much on codeforces hence you won’t be complaining about that. Just see the difference between the two rating graph tabs of some user with a lot of participation to get an idea of the difference in the systems. the old system is very chaotic, while the new system rewards you for consistently improving over time. you can read about this in depth here.

Definitely something a bit odd going on here: i think the ratings increase is fine based on what he solved, but his ranking & score are wrong: at the time of writing, his score is 0 (?) and his ranking is 15000 , as the op says:. It is my rating graph for jan long challenge 2019 (div.2),and see my rating inc. by 14.so which becomes 1581. and my rank was 2673. and this is another graph of the person from same rank list,which is inc.by 26,which becomes 1590. and his rank was 3990. My rating was 1467 before codechef 179 but after it my rating was 1501 but today my rating started from 1467 only and not 1501. i’ve seen same issue of repeated rating with many users in today’s contest. please fix this.
