The main objective of this case study is to use nepal’s experience to identify some key issues that need to be resolved to improve learning assessment systems and policies. This article presents the case study results of an eds program at a large university in midwestern u.s.a. in which faculty and instructors were provided with access to institutional data and. In this comparative case study, we examine the learning opportunities afforded by teachers' data use conversations. using situated discourse analysis, we com pare two middle school mathematics teacher workgroups interpreting data from the same district assessment. This report summarizes how school and district leaders and academic coaches in two texas school districts used assessment and other types of data to assess the quality of teaching and learning, to coach and supervise teachers, and to guide management decisions.
