Fuel Pump Circuit Opening Relay Testing Yotatech Forums For toyota, the cor (circuit opening relay) just does what it says it open circuits the fuel pump 12vdc power source when the ecu detects the engine in not running even though the key is in the on position. Have someone start the truck and listen to feel the starter relay click. it also sends power to circuit opening relay to start fuel pump, but that's a separate system. the cor is the relay that you hear click behind the glove compartment (barely visible here), when you try starting.

Location Of Circuit Opening Relay 94 4runner Yotatech Forums Maf cor fuel pump circuit is below. circuit opening relay (cor) has two normally open contacts (open when no power is applied). coil 1 of cor is energized by ign switch while in start position. I tracked the problem down to the circuit opening relay, i believe this relay is responsible for turning on the fuel injectors. the problem is documented in this thread. the relay is located on the drivers left kick panel. There is no good diagnostics for the second coil in the relay. the manual shows how to test the relay coil to make sure it isn't open yes but does not have any indication of a test to verify the sta circuit is ever energized. All you (used to?) need to do is put a jumper between the b and fc connection there to test full time fuel pump operation with key on.

On my 1996 jdm rav4, the circuit opening relay is in a relay block under the panel that houses the fuse block and the hood opening latch. i know i am working with the correct relay because when i manually engage it, the fuel pump runs. The circuit opening relay and the efi relay both get power directly off the 7.5a ign fuse. additionally, they both connect to the b (battery) terminal on the ecm through a common junction connector. Hi so i’ve been having issues with my fuel pump not starting or priming, however i’ve narrowed it down till the point at which if i jump pins 1 and 2 in the c opn relay the fuel pump primes in the on position and the engine starts and stays running. Hi all, could i get a sanity check on normal behavior of the fuel pump relay (fpr). i'm trying to determine if i should be observing cycling of the fpr.
