I would like to change the cartridge on this hansgrohe shower valve. however, i can't figure out how to remove the handle. the small hole does not appear to accept an allen key. any ideas on how to remove this? a guess as to what model cartridge? and, whether it might have integral shut offs for the hot and cold? thank you, peter.

Hansgrohe is a high end unit with good quality. problem is if parts (i.e. cartridges or o rings) ever need to be replaced you won't find them at big box stores but at authorized plumbing suppliers or buy online if you plan to do the repairs yourself. My parents also have a hansgrohe shower model #06624000 thermobalance iii, which is malfunctioning. they can no longer adjust the hot and cold water. it is not leaking, but that same tech recommended that i purchase a new $80 cartridge. is there some way of adjusting that thermostatic cartridge, instead of replacing it? cartridge part #94282000. Delta and moen have life time warranty on certain faucets, which sounds good, but have read many reviews where people had to replace these faucets regularly. i am disabled and would need a professional to install them, so don't want to have to pay to replace poorly made faucets. i will check out the hansgrohe and grohe faucets, so thanks.
