It had always peed water out of the bottom of the motor. last year, when i tested it, it did not pee, so i assumed that the water pump impeller had deterioriated. i installed a new water pump kit including a new housing, impeller, all the various gaskets, o rings, etc. as per the instructions. Re: omc stern drive impeller removal i split my drive with it still attached to the boat. i lowered the bottom half with a floor jack and laid on my back to get at the pump. i used the exploded view as a guide. i bought genuine omc parts from crowley marine. the website has omc exploded views of the drive. I have a 2014 5.7 mag 350 bravo mercruiser. i want to change out the sea water impeller for the first time (i am an amateur mechanic). getting access from the side bottom seems almost impossible. access from the front bottom also seems challenging. has someone done this job and how did they.
