Jira Cloud New Issue View Editor Changes Jira Cloud Announcements The Atlassian Developer We’ve removed wiki markup from the new editor in favor of full markdown support. this is a significant change, and we thank all of you for the feedback you’ve sent. while the adjustment can be difficult, we know this will allow us to provide a more modern and consistent editing experience. From march 31, 2021, we’ll be moving all users on the old issue view in jira cloud products (jira software, jira service desk, jira core) to the new issue view. shortly after that, we’ll remove access to the old issue view. These design guidelines relate to the new jira issue view, which is currently only available to some jira software users. new modules and extension patterns on this page only relate to jira software right now, but we'll be adding them to jira service desk in the near future. Jira cloud enables the work item view to be tailored to prevent these kinds of changes, but the bulk move and bulk edit work item functionality can not be tailored to prevent these problematic mutations. consequently, we needed to either modify jira cloud’s bulk work item capabilities or offer an alternate solution and disable the native. With the new issue field settings panel there’s no need to navigate to the timeline or project issue view. in the program board go to view settings. turn the issue fields you wish to display on or off.
