I have both bodies. generally the f5 is the most capable for all the above reasons. however i like my f4s for macro work as it can be configured for lighter 4 cells (lithiums) that work well on the nikon pg 2 rack & pinion mount. there are more focussing screens available for the f4 than the f5, in addition to the various viewers. for those persons familiar with the earlier nikon f series, the.
