All of these actions i did after i had no success enabling two fingers scrolling in default libinput, the option to enabling it was in gnome touchpad settings. and by the way today i noticed the option for two finger scrolling disappeared from the settings. maybe because i updated kernel today. i have following output from synclient. Sometimes it starts working again after a while. sometimes when it does not i turn off extensions and activate them again or start the libinput debug gui where all the touchpad actions are recognized correctly. but none of this commands seem to help instantly. sometimes the touchpad starts working after a while or i need to restart my computer. I just installed linux mint 14 cinnamon (64 bit) and everything is working well except i cannot do 2 finger scrolling on my touchpad (which works in windows). i have tried a couple things to fix it. i started by opening; preferences >mouse and touchpad. At first, the touchpad works normally. after initiating a two finger scroll action, the touchpad becomes laggy: the pointer on the screen moves with a pretty obivious input lag, making the experience very unpleasant. when in this state of lagginess, if the touchpad doesn't receive any input for 5 seconds, it gets back to working normally again. I simply do not have the option for "two finger scrolling" available in my "mouse and touchpad" settings. i have tried a lot of terminal commands that i have found in the forums with no success. who has a solution that will enable two finger scrolling? a little about me:. Pinch zoom works fantastically on the touch screen in brave web browser, but not on the touch pad. however the things that do work on the touch pad are: inertia scrolling; two finger scrolling in all directions; two finger tap for right click. fantastic job linux mint dev team! keep it coming.
