If you're having problems with rcs ("chat" vs "text") and are using a device bought from t mobile, i highly recommend you disable rcs for the time being. they are still using their own servers, which causes issues with delivering and receiving rcs messages. last night i realized i was only getting about 2 3 of the messages in a group chat with a few verizon and at&t users, and several images. Just to close the loop on this, i called t mobile and it appears the best course is to wait it out. we have 4 payments left on each of our phones (s22), and at that time i will come up with a new strategy. by then either t mobile will have a new promotion, or i can switch back to verizon (which i'd really like to do) with just one line.
