I tried deleting the google maps app on my iphone like i normally do with other apps. i held the icon, tapped “remove app,” confirmed, but nothing happened. then i went into settings > general > iphone storage, selected google maps — and it just showed “deleting…” forever. what finally worked: i first chose “offload app,” then after that finished, i tapped “delete app. I had downloaded the google drive app and used my work log in which required me to add a passcode. but once i deleted the app i couldn't turn off the passcode and its because there was a google regulatory profile set up i needed to delete.
